DVSA Blog Update
DVSA have recently posted a useful DVSA blog update providing advice on inputting advisories, getting mileage right and the trialling of new connected camera equipment.
Advisories
- use of a range of standard wording instead of using free text
- recording the correct information
- inappropriate content
Mileage
- an interrupt screen will warn the Tester if mileage is considerably different or the same as the last MOT
- the Tester must confirm the mileage entered is correct or edit it
Developing New Connected Equipment
- connected cameras in garages continues to be trialled
- the purpose of the trial is to reduce record keeping errors by using a device with a built in camera, like a phone or tablet
- as part of the registration process the Tester will upload a photo of the vehicle’s number plate to the MTS
