Forensic Driver Assessment
Need a Forensic Driving Assessment to use in court proceedings or for HSE compliance? We can provide you with everything you need to move forward.
The Purpose of a Forensic Driver Assessment
Completing a forensic driver assessment is fundamental in court proceedings, and willingness to conform professionally will aid decision making.
Following a detailed assessment of the antecedent driving history, the driver will attend a day’s theory and practical course, following which a report will be prepared by AAL, for use in mitigation in Court proceedings and/or HSE compliance.
The practical aspects of the course will prove to the court the driver:
- Has acknowledged the seriousness of their actions
- Has chosen to address the problem, of their own volition
- Has already received a financial penalty (the cost of the course)
- Will forever be a safer driver, from the advanced techniques and defensive driving tuition received during the course
Vehicle and Driver’s Risk Assessment
Every business must complete a risk assessment to assess and eliminate risks as per the Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1993. These requirements include driving at work, considering the risks of visiting vehicles, deliveries, loading and vehicles collecting waste.
All risks involved with driving a company vehicle on the road need to be assessed, including the driver and their level of skill and experience, the vehicle, the route, length of journey and amount of breaks taken.
It is a legal requirement to create a written record of your risk assessment if you have five or more employees. It is equally important to review the risk assessment regularly and record your reviews.
